DOES GOD STILL COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE THROUGH SIGNS AND WONDERS?
WAS THE BIBLE REALLY SENT BY GOD TO SHOW US THE TRUTH?
Imagine almighty God clearly telling you to pick up a paint brush and start oil painting. That’s what happened to me. It wasn’t something I wanted to do at that time, but if God tells me to paint, I paint. Each of my 25 paintings accompany a story that is a testimony of the Holy Spirit.
One of the most fascinating stories is that of internationally known rock guitarist, Brian “Head” Welch, from the metal band, Korn. After God delivered Brian from drug addiction, he has gone from the typical sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle to seeing miraculous healings for concertgoers.

“MORE THAN A COLLECTION of art, More than a collection of stories. “The Art of the Spirit” is an invitation to see beyond the obvious into the beauty of the spirit.”

"IT WAS AN HONOR to be included in The Art of the Spirit by the talented Brenda Harrington. I know it will impact many lives to come. God obviously invented "the arts," and I hope The Art of the Spirit inspires other people to use their talents in unique and creative ways to spread the love of Christ”
My Story
Brenda began creating art as a child and has worked in all paint types, but her first love has always been oils. One of her first oil paintings, at the age of fifteen, was taken from a verse in the Bible, a theme that still inspires many of her paintings.
After receiving a degree in Commercial Art from Middle Tennessee State University, Brenda worked as a graphic designer for TSC. While raising her family, she designed CD packaging as a freelance designer. Her passion for creating keeps her experimenting with every medium from sculpture to interior design. In 2009, her interior design work was featured in Nashville Lifestyles magazine.
Her love of painting was put on hold for thirty years but in December of 2009 she had a vision from God which led her to take up oil painting again. She received her training as an oil painter at SouthGate Studio in Franklin, Tennessee. She studied still life painting with Pat Thompson and portrait painting with Jody Thompson.
Brenda and her husband, music photographer Russ Harrington, make their home near Nashville, Tennessee. They met in the photography lab while in college and continue to collaborate both professionally and personally.
Read her story about the way God has moved in her life and the lives of many of her friends in her book, The Art of the Spirit.
